- Friends of the Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary Club - Purpose and Membership Guidelines
- 1. Purpose of the Club
- The Friends of the Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary Club (also know as *The Club) exists to support the ongoing care, wellbeing, and protection of the animals living at Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary.
- The club brings together people who share a love for animals, nature, and compassionate living. Through membership support, the club helps provide food, shelter, veterinary care, and safe lifelong homes for the sanctuary animals.
- The club also offers members the opportunity to stay connected with life at the sanctuary and to be part of a community that values kindness, nature, and animal welfare.
- 2. Intentions of the Club
- To support the daily care and lifelong protection of sanctuary animals.
- Help maintain and improve the sanctuary environment for animals and visitors.
- Share stories and updates about the animals and life on the farm.
- Create a supportive community of people who care about animal welfare and nature.
- Offer members opportunities to connect with the sanctuary through visits, events, learning and communications.
- 3. What the Club Provides to Members.
- A regular Sanctuary "Seasons News" newsletter sharing stories from the animals and life on the farm.
- Inclusion in the monthly membership draw, where one member receives a cash prize of the monthly membership pool, based on the $3 per person per month contribution. (1 draw per person)
- Opportunities to attend sanctuary open days & events.
- A 10% discount on The HVF
- for stays of two nights or more (subject to availability).
- Inclusion with other HVF activities that are not related to the Sanctuary itself.
- Updates and invitations to special sanctuary activities when available.
- The sanctuary will do its best to keep members informed, connected, and appreciated as valued supporters of the animals.
- 4. Member Contributions
- Membership contributions of a minimum of $3 per month per person (More is a blessing!
- Extra contributions are seen as donations) that help provide:
- animal feed, rugs and care
- veterinary support & first aide
- General foot and teeth maintenance
- maintenance of shelters and paddocks
- improvements to the sanctuary environment
- Ongoing needs of the sanctuary operations
- 5. Member Responsibilities
- Members of the Club are asked to:
- Support the values of kindness, compassion, and respect for animals and nature.
- Treat the sanctuary environment and animals with care during visits.
- Follow any safety or animal welfare guidelines when visiting the sanctuary.
- Maintain the membership contributions if you wish to remain part of the monthly draw and member benefits.
- 6. Membership Draw
- Each month, one member will be randomly selected to receive a cash prize with the remaining funds supporting the animals and sanctuary operations.
- The draw will be conducted fairly and announced in the monthly newsletter.
- Members are given the opportunity to bank the winnings or donate it back. This is kept confidential.
- 7. Community Spirit
- The Club is built on a spirit of goodwill, kindness, and shared care for animals and the natural world.
- Members are part of a compassionate community helping ensure that the animals at Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary always have a safe place to call home.
